The River’s Secret

Last summer, my family decided to take a boat tour along the Green River.
Vara trecută, familia mea a decis să facă o excursie cu barca de-a lungul Râului Verde.
We had never explored the river before, and we were all excited about the adventure.
Nu mai exploraserăm râul niciodată și eram cu toții entuziasmați de aventură.
The morning was bright and warm as we boarded the small, white tour boat.
Dimineața era luminoasă și caldă când am urcat pe mica barcă albă de turism.
Our guide, Captain Leo, welcomed us with a friendly smile and told us he knew all the river's secrets.
Ghidul nostru, Căpitanul Leo, ne-a întâmpinat cu un zâmbet prietenos și ne-a spus că știe toate secretele râului.
The engine rumbled to life, and we slowly moved away from the wooden dock.
Motorul a prins viață cu un zumzet și ne-am îndepărtat încet de cheiul din lemn.
As we traveled, Captain Leo pointed out tall herons standing silently in the shallow water.
Pe măsură ce călătoream, Căpitanul Leo ne-a arătat stârcii înalți stând tăcuți în apa puțin adâncă.
He explained that the river was home to many animals that we could not see from the road.
El a explicat că râul găzduiește multe animale pe care nu le putem vedea de pe șosea.
We passed under old stone bridges and saw children waving from the riverbank.
Am trecut pe sub poduri vechi de piatră și am văzut copii făcând cu mâna de pe malul râului.
The best part came when Captain Leo steered the boat into a narrow, hidden channel.
Cea mai bună parte a venit când Căpitanul Leo a condus barca într-un canal îngust și ascuns.
The trees formed a green tunnel overhead, and the sunlight danced on the water's surface.
Copacii formau un tunel verde deasupra noastră, iar lumina soarelui dansa pe suprafața apei.
He told us a local story about a kind water spirit who protected the forest creatures.

I felt completely peaceful, listening to the gentle sound of the boat cutting through the water.

After the tour, we thanked Captain Leo for showing us the river's beautiful hidden spot.

I realized that sometimes the most wonderful places are not visible from the land.
Am realizat că uneori cele mai minunate locuri nu sunt vizibile de pe uscat.
I will always remember that calm feeling and the cool, fresh air on my face.
Îmi voi aminti mereu acea senzație de calm și aerul răcoros și proaspăt pe fața mea.
Next year, I hope we can take another boat tour to discover more of the river's stories.
Anul viitor, sper că putem face o altă excursie cu barca pentru a descoperi mai multe povești ale râului.
Maybe I will even learn to steer a boat myself one day.
Poate că într-o zi voi învăța chiar eu să conduc o barcă.
