My grandmother lives in a small house with a beautiful garden.

Moje babička bydlí v malém domku s krásnou zahradou.

Last Saturday, I visited her because I felt a little sad.

Minulou sobotu jsem ji navštívil, protože jsem se cítil trochu smutně.

She smiled and said, 'Let's bake a cake together.'

Usmála se a řekla: 'Pojďme spolu upéct dort.'

We went into her warm, cozy kitchen.

Vešli jsme do její teplé, útulné kuchyně.

She showed me how to mix the flour, eggs, and sugar.

Ukázala mi, jak smíchat mouku, vejce a cukr.

I made a big mess with the flour, but she just laughed.

Udělal jsem z mouky velký nepořádek, ale ona se jenom zasmála.

The cake smelled wonderful in the oven.

Dort v troubě nádherně voněl.

While we waited, she told me funny stories about my father as a boy.
